Already Involved Scholars

Regular conferences by LIVE guest researchers and lecturers from and outside our associated partners expose students to the state-of-the-art in scientific research, but also in humanities on vaccinology. We provide all the c.v. of these invited speakers and also the c.v. of the two experts who accepted to participate to the Quality Assurance Committee because they agree to make also a conference for the LIVE students.

    • Stanley Plotkin will explain from a historical global point of view  "How vaccines guide the enhancement of the wellbeing of our world"
    • Stanley Plotkin, David scheifele, Bin Wang, Anne-Marie Moulin, Tobias Kollmann, Thomas Kieber-Emmons, Theodore Tsai will participate in MOOC development as experts in different fields.
    • Invited scholars come from 12 different countries and c.v. are available.

Czerkinsky Cecil (FR) and Stanley Plotkin (USA) instruct the Quality Assurance Scheme as external reviewers.

Future Lecturers & Scholars

The LIVE course offers 3 to 5 positions / year for a maximum duration of three months to leading academics and practitioners preferentially from outside the European Union to contribute to the teaching programme. The scholar will be integrated in the department organising the LIVE Master at the hosting university.

Lecturers / Scholars can be asked :

  • to lecture students on a topic for a time slot to be agreed upon and corresponding to the scholar's field of expertise and availability
  • to assist in the preparation, development and/or implementation of a practical seminar or case study or MOOC development organised with the LIVE students and other national students from the national Master involved in the LIVE Master at the hosting university
  • to explore potential collaboration between the LIVE consortium and the home institution of the scholar. 

The lecturers / scholars can apply to the LIVE consortium on their own initiative or can be invited by the LIVE consortium to do so. The application should:

  • mention the academic year the scholar applies for
  • include a motivation pointing out the potential contribution to research and education in scientific or humanities or industrial process related to Immunology, infectiology or vaccinology
  • produce an extensive CV, stating publication records, research activities, etc.

Duration of the visit1 to 3 months 

The selection is organized and proceeded by the LIVE consortium on the basis of:

  • elective criteria, i.e. academic performance and credentials of the candidates
  • potential contribution to research and education within the LIVE framework
  • origin of the  home institution of the scholar, according to this order of preference: third-country, developed country from outside EU, country from inside European Union
  • potential partnerships with the home institution of the scholar.
