Quality Assurance of the LIVE Programme
General Principle of the Quality Assurance (QA)
The LIVE consortium implements one Quality Assurance Scheme (QAS) for the programme. The Consortium Agreement defines the composition of the Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) and the Quality Assurance Manager (QAM). The QAC organises and coordinates the QAS. The QAM is in charge of editing the QAS, the Quality Assurance Handbook (QAH), monitoring the Quality Controls (QC) and establishing the QA Reports (QAR). The overall responsibility for QA is vested in the Academic and Management Board (AMB), taking into account the recommendations proposed by the QAC.
The LIVE consortium is hereby committed to the regular and continuous evaluation of the quality of the LIVE Master programme. The QAS aims at providing a framework in which Master students, academic and non-academic Partners and representatives from the QAC composed of two external evaluators chosen outside of the LIVE Partners, for the purposes of impartiality, can evaluate the overall quality of the programme offered by the LIVE consortium.
It shall therefore bring together all the perspectives on the LIVE programme, including academic views, students views, and professional views through Associated Partners’ representatives. It should also consider all the elements of the programme, beyond the quality of the educational programme, i.e. aspects like students’ integration in the partner institutions, services and facilities offered for students, administrative and financial management of the programme, internal communication, etc. Those elements should also be included in the evaluation. All these elements will contribute to the continuous and dynamic improvement of the programme quality, and in fine to a greater impact of the programme on the career perspectives and employability of the students.
