MyLIVE 2023 Application Calendar (Top)

MyLIVE applicants from all over the world who want to apply for a scholarshipto be trained in the Master LIVE 2023-2024/5

• Nov 7 (Mo), 2022: MyLIVE opens to apply for the Master LIVE for enrolment on September 2023. If you need visa for ES-FR-BE and/or scholarship to be trained in the Master LIVE, you apply via MyLIVE during the application period n°1 from Nov 7, 2022 to January 19, 2023 (Lyon-FR time) to participate in the Master LIVE M1+M2 2023-25 or in the Master LIVE M2 2023-24.
• Jan 19 (Thu), 2023: deadline for MyLIVE (ending).
• Jan 31 (Tue), 2023: deadline to receive the last letters from the Referees.
• Jan 20-Feb 2, 2023: eligibility period.
• Feb 4 (Sat), 2023: eligibility result, "save the dates for interview" sent to eligible applicants, eligibility appeal Feb 4-Feb 13.
• Feb 4-17, 2023: MyLIVE applications are opened to the reviewers for scoring.
• Feb 17 (Fri), 2023: deadline for the reviewers to upload their evaluations on the reviewer platform for the Steering Committee.
• Feb 17-21, 2023: Steering Committee validation and third review, if required.
• Feb 28 (Tue), 2023: Pre-selection results published on the LIVE website - the Steering Committee validates the scoring and studies the statistics regarding gender and nationalities to establish the list of applicants selected for the interview; selected Applicants are notified for their pre-selection for interview and send all slots for interview they are available.
• Feb 28-March 6, 2023: AMB-interview management: student connection checking, student wishes / slots, Jury organisation…
• March 6 (Mon), 2023: interview schedule published on the LIVE website
• March 13-14-15 (Mon to Wed), 2023: AMB-jury proceeds to the interviews of the MyLIVE pre-selected applicants and establishes the main, reserve and non-selected lists.
• March 24, 2023 (Fri): Selection results - The list of MyLIVE Applicants selected after interview is published on the LIVE website.
• By May 5, 2023 (Fri): LIVE Secretariat sends the letter of conditional admission to the MyLIVE Applicants, pending scholarship awarding.

eCandidat-MyLIVE applicants from the Schengen area who need no visa for ES-FR-BE and no scholarship to be trained in the Master LIVE 2023-2024/5

• April 17, 2023 (Mo): MyLIVE opens to apply for the Master LIVE for enrolment on September 2023. If you need no visa for ES-FR-BE and no scholarship to be trained in the Master LIVE, you apply via eCandidat-MyLIVE during the application period n°2 from April 17 to June 2, 2023 (Lyon-FR time) to participate in the Master LIVE M1+M2 2023-25 or in the Master LIVE M2 2023-24.
• June 2, 2023 (Fri): deadline for eCandidat-MyLIVE (ending), applicants who have submitted  their file should save the following dates for interview: June 19-21, 2023 (Mo-Wed).
• June 9, 2023 (Fri): deadline to receive the last letters from the Referees for eCandidat-MyLIVE.
• June 12, 2023 (Mon): eCandidat-MyLIVE eligibility, reviewing and pre-selection results. Pre-selected applicants answer questions by email to choose their slots for interview and perform their webex connection checking from June 14 to 16, 2023 at the LIVE secretariat that confirms the slot for interview. 
• June 19-20-21, 2023 (Mon-Wed): AMB-jury proceeds to the interviews of the eCandidat-MyLIVE self-funded students with Schengen nationalities and pre-selected for interviews. 
• June 23, 2023 (Fri): AMB-jury establishes the main, reserve and non-selected lists of the eCandidat-MyLIVE applicants.
• June 27, 2023 (Mo): Selection results - The list of eCandidat-MyLIVE Applicants selected after interview is updated on the LIVE website.
• July 7, 2023 (Fri): eCandidat-MyLIVE admitted Applicants send their decision.  
• July 11, 2023 (Tue): LIVE Secretariat sends the letter of conditional admission to the eCandidat-MyLIVE applicants.

For all selected applicants:

• July - Sept, 2023: management of scholarship awarding, acceptances, cancellations, call of selected applicants from the reserve list; administrative management of visa / bank accounts / accommodation / health insurance for the admitted LIVE Master students.

  • The re-examination period is organized from Jan 23 to 31, 2023.
• Jan 31 (Tue), 2023: deadline for LIVE S1 in Barcelona

--- S2 2022-23 at UAntwerp

• Feb 1 (Wed), 2023: Starting the LIVE semester installation in Antwerp
• S2 2022-23 calendar:
  • Courses start on Feb 8 (Wed), 2023.
  • The examination period runs from May 30 to June 30, 2023.
  • The summer school on vaccinology is organized from July 3 to 10, 2023.
  • The re-examination period is organized from July 14 to 28, 2023.
• Internship management:
  • May 2023: the template to provide internship proposal is sent to the Associated Partners (AP).
  • June 20, 2023: early deadline for AP to provide internship proposals for premium publication (and by Sept 12 at the latest).
  • Internship proposals are validated by the Steering Committee.
  • Internship proposals are published on the Claco platform as soon as they are validated.
  • By Sept 30, 2023: all students must choose their internships to manage visa issues and internship agreements to realize the professional internship in 2024
• July 28 (Fri), 2023: deadline for semester in Antwerp
• The summer break starts on July 29, 2023.

• S3 2023-24 calendar (expected in July 2023):
  • Courses start on Sept 11 (Mon), 2023
  • The continuous examination occurs at the end of some teaching units, according to the handbook distributed at the beginning of the semester.
  • The final session 1 examination period for the semester 3 runs from January 3 to 12, 2024
  • The re-examination period is organized from Jan 15 to 18, 2024.
• Jan 18 (Thu), 2024: deadline for S3 in Lyon & Saint-Etienne
• S4 2023-24 calendar (expected in December 2023)
• Jan 3-18, 2024: Languages S4 courses (3ECTS) organized at UCBL
• Jan 19-21, 2024: installation for the internship
• Jan 22 to July 31, 2024: professional internship:
  • mandatory duration for Master validation: 24-26 weeks
  • May 31 (Fri), 2024: MSc thesis report deadline 
  • June 17-21, 2024: MSc thesis defence
• Aug 26 (Mon), 2024: Master Diploma Jury
• Aug 31, 2024: end of the LIVE programme 2022-24.

General rules for the LIVE Master calendar (Top)

The standard study period of the programme is two years, running from September 1^st, year “n” to July 31^st, year “n+2”. The LIVE programme is divided in two years (Master 1 and 2) and four semesters (S1 to 4). The general path is as follows:

•  M1 S1 – First semester (year n, n+1):
• 01 - 14/09: welcome and social week for registration and integration in the LIVE family, starting the LIVE programme in Lyon (FR)
• 05/09 - 23/01: installation and study period in Barcelona (ES). The examination period and jury for the S1 are organized in January by the Universitat de Barcelona & the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in Spain.
• M1 S2 – Second semester (year n+1):
• 24/01 - 14/07: installation and study period in Antwerp (BE). The examination period, the jury for the S2 and Master 1 are organized in June and July by the University of Antwerp in Belgium.
• 01-14/07: LIVE students attend to the one-week Summer School on Vaccinology, annually organized by the university of Antwerp 
• 15/07 - 31/08 (year n+1) is a free period for holidays and/or short internship
• M2 S3 – Third semester (year n+1, n+2):
• 01/09 - 23/01: registration, installation and study period in Lyon (FR). The examination period and jury for the S3 are organized in January by the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 & the Université Jean Monet Saint-Etienne in France.
• In mid-January takes place the Midterm meeting where the students discuss their ideas related to the subject of their Master Thesis.
• M2 S4 – Fourth semester (year n+2):
•  24/01 - 31/07: internship implementation and Master thesis. The thesis defense, the jury for the S4, Master 2 and the final LIVE Master jury are organized alternatively each year in Barcelona, Antwerp and Lyon.
• In addition, the students will participate each year to partner site visits and VaxInEu Symposia whose dates are decided annually.
• The official legal academic calendars are available on the institutional websites. Holidays and statutory holidays will be respected by the LIVE programme, according to the place of the studies: Barcelona, Antwerp or Lyon.

• March 5, 2021: interview schedule published on the LIVE website
• March 9-10-11 (Tue to Thu), 2021: AMB-jury proceeds to the interviews of the selected applicants and establishes the main, reserve and non-selected lists.
• March 25, 2021: Selection results - The list of Applicants selected after interview is published on the LIVE website.
• March 31, 2021: Scholarship funding results - The list of admitted Students with scholarship awarding is published on the LIVE website.
• By April 15, 2021: the LIVE Coordinator enters main / reserve / non-selected lists online on the EACEA Mobility Tool for EU commission validation.
• By April 25, 2021: EACEA validates main and reserve lists, then the LIVE secretariat sends the letter of admission.
• May-Sept, 2021: management of acceptances, cancellations, appeals of candidates from the reserve list; administrative management of visa / bank accounts / accommodation / health insurance for the admitted LIVE Master students.
